5 Ways to Generate Valuable Content (That Will Help Your Audience)
Reading Time: ( Word Count: )

When you’re working to create valuable content for your audience week after week, it’s common to feel like you’re running out of ideas. Fortunately, there are some excellent tools and strategies to help you generate valuable content, even when you feel like you’ve done everything there is to do.

5 ways to generate valuable content for your audience

Here are 5 ways to get out of the content rut and come up with some great ideas that will really help your audience. You can use these ideas for your blog, social media channels, email campaigns, and more!

1. Google Search Console

If you don’t already have Google Search Console installed for your website, get it right away! Once set up, Google Search Console will begin tracking your website.

This tool lets you know how many times your pages came up in a search, how many clicks you’ve had, and more. This way, you can see what searches are bringing up your website on a user’s Google search. You can also see the position of your site on that search. For example, you’ll be able to see whether it’s showing up on the first, second, or third page of Google, etc.

To do this, click on “Search Results” on the left side of the page. Then, you can download a spreadsheet that’s full of information about what searches are bringing up your site on Google. Next, you can target the searches with the most clicks and impressions and use those keywords to produce more valuable content.

It’s important to note that if you just installed Google Search Console, it will take a few days to a few weeks before you have a list of queries available.

2. Neil Patel’s UberSuggest

Ubersuggest is another tool that helps you find keyword suggestions and content ideas for your niche.

With this tool, you can type in a keyword or question and get more, similar keyword suggestions. You’ll also find search information on said suggestions. Use this tool to find keywords for your blog posts, or simply look through the questions to get ideas of what your audience might want to know. You can use these ideas on your social media, email campaigns, or anywhere else that you connect with your audience. Like Google Search Console, it’s free (though you do have the option of upgrading to a paid version)!

3. Read through customer support tickets

Next up, reviewing your customer support tickets is an extremely effective way to find out exactly what specific questions and problems your audience has. Since these questions are submitted by your actual customers, they are perfectly tailored to your ideal audience. Using your content mediums to answer these questions will provide the most helpful information to answers that your future audience will have. (Here’s why it’s important to understand your ideal audience.)

4. Ask your sales team about the FAQs they hear the most

Check in with your sales team, since they’re the ones who probably spend the most time talking to customers. Here are some more questions you can ask your sales team to help you generate valuable content:

  • “What do you think is the most-asked question from our customers?”
  • “What is something that people often don’t understand about our product or service?”
  • “If you could equip all of our customers with one, valuable piece of information, what would it be?”
  • “What do you think is stopping potential customers from purchasing our product or service?”

5. Hire help

Lastly, sometimes doing it all yourself is just not feasible. While it’s tempting to try to squeeze it all in, often, your business can grow faster when you delegate some tasks.

If you’re trying to keep up with running a business, providing great customer service, putting out fires, and creating content, you may need to take something off your plate!

Delegating content creation to a professional allows you to focus on the tasks that really need your expertise the most. At the same time, you’ll be getting extremely valuable content that will really benefit your audience and grow your business.
